There are only 2 line holders left after you and only 27 trips left open (including those on your current line), and few existing, if any possibilities of modifying your line award. At this point if you really want to have the days off you asked for, you may elect to use SmartPref's unique feature known as 'reserve protected days off.' You can specify in your request for certain days off that these days off be 'reserve protected.' This means that if the line builder is unable to satisfy the day off request as a line holder it will look at a reserve line as an alternate choice for you. If you click on the priority number of the day(s) off you wish to reserve protect, a pull down menu will appear:

Click the 'toggle reserve protected' option, the day off period becomes red to indicate that the reserve protect feature is on for these days. Click on REBUILD and you get a reserve line result.

This reserve line now honors your days off request (even, in this case, the day off periods that were not protected). A reserve line will be returned only if ALL of the days off under reserve protection are honored; otherwise the line of flying will be maintained. This feature offers day off protection to junior crew members for whom it is a MUST choice. If you toggle the reserve protection again it will return the day off period to its normal status (blue), Clicking REBUILD will bring back the line of flying.
